The Steca Solsum 1010F is the top-of-range model in Steca’s most successful charge controller generation — delivering 10A charge and load current for 12V or 24V solar home systems in the same ultra-compact 145×100×30mm housing, supporting up to 240W of PV power and making it suitable for a wide range of solar home system applications.

General Description

The Solsum 1010F is the highest-rated model in the Solsum family, supporting up to 120W at 12V or 240W at 24V — the most common system sizes for solar home systems powering LED lighting, phone charging, small televisions, fans, and other DC appliances. It brings the full feature set of the Solsum generation — serial MOSFET topology, multistage PWM charging, current-compensated load disconnection, and ultra-low self-consumption — to systems at the upper end of the small solar home market.
The 1010F’s multistage charging algorithm delivers bulk charging, boost charging at 14.4V, and float charging at 13.9V — ensuring the battery is always thoroughly charged and correctly maintained. The default battery type is gel, adjustable to liquid lead-acid via the optional Steca PA RC100. Four multi-colour LEDs provide clear status indication of the charging process, battery state of charge, and any fault conditions. With -25°C to +50°C operating range and less than 4mA self-consumption, it is engineered for reliable operation in the demanding ambient conditions of hot climate off-grid deployments. The evening and night light function can be factory pre-set or field-configured, making the 1010F suitable for automatic solar street lighting and security lighting applications.
