Introduction
This innovative solar street lighting design maximizes utility of solar energy while maintaining desired lighting distribution using a swivel attached solar panel.
General Description
Swivel attached solar panel is an innovation by MAXIMA that helps align solar panels independently to the main body that houses batteries, electronics and the lamp head. As it is a general practice to incline the lamp head towards the street to achieve even light distribution, the sun path may not necessarily be alighted with the solar panels, if they are fixed to the body.
In such a case, one is limited to choosing between the optimal angle for light or having the best orientation for solar. With Maxima, this compromise is eliminated using a Swivel design that allows independent solar orientation from the main body.
Battery Life optimized
MAXIMA solar street lights are made using UNUSED LiFePO4 battery cells maintaining the expected life span of the batteries of 15 years. Moreover, the swivel design allows the solar panel to cast a shadow on the body – where the batteries are mounted – keeping the batteries and the LED driver at lower temperatures thereby improving the life of the light.
Multiple Load Control Modes
There are 4 different light control modes that allow light to turn on / off / dim based on pre-programmed sequence based on a combination of sunlight, timer and presence of movement in front of the light. The mode can be selected using the remote control, which also allows for periodic testing and maintenance of the lights.
Strong Project Profile
From South Africa to Italy, MAXIMA integrated street lights have been extensively used both on highways as well as on secondary roads. With the continuous development and effort to offer better reliability and performance, Maxima SISL lights keep getting more credentials and approvals in more countries.
