Introduction
The Victron VE Transfer Switch ensures seamless switching between multiple AC power sources, such as shore power, generator, or inverter. Designed for reliability and safety, it automatically selects the active power source, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply to connected devices.
General Description
The VE Transfer Switch features two inputs and one output, automatically transferring available AC power from the preferred source. It’s ideal for marine, RV, and off-grid systems that require a smooth transition between different energy sources.
All ground connections of power sources and consumers must be connected to the central ground connection of the vessel or system for optimal safety.
When used with VE MultiPlus and the Digital Multi Control (DMC) panel, auxiliary contacts (K2 NO) should be connected via the rear screw terminal of the DMC.
- When the auxiliary contact is open, the current limit is manually controlled using the DMC knob.
- When the contact is closed, the DMC automatically adjusts the generator current limit based on connected devices.
- The auxiliary contact is typically operated by the transfer switch, providing seamless automatic switching and current control.
