Introduction
Solar Water heaters use flat plates for collecting solar radiation and heating the water that is inside the tube.
General Description
Flat plate collectors essentially have copper tubes running across the inside of the plate with 4 corners with pipe outlets. The lower side is usually a feed side and upper side is the exit side. The water comes inside the collectors, gets heated up and is transported either naturally through natural circulation or forced circulated using circulation pumps.
Long Term Reliability
This technology of heating water has existed longer than any other type. One reason why they have continued to remain popular is that they tend to last longer even in adverse weather conditions.
Quick Installation
The flat plate controller requires minimum skills for undertaking installations. The connection between the components are very quick and easy as are the connections of the pipes feeding in or taking water out of the system.
