Introduction
MAXIMA – GEL range of batteries is maintenance-free, provides good electrical reliability, and is lighter than the flooded lead-acid type of same capacity. It performs well to high temperatures and has a low self-discharge. Maxima batteries provide 5 times faster-charging possibility and its thick densely packed plates provide good deep cycle performance. GEL electrolyte provides good recombination of gasses, even in hot climates, and therefore a suitable for hot climates compared to AGM batteries.
General Description
Unlike AGM batteries that saturate electrolytes into a glass mat, GEL-type batteries by MAXIMA use pure electrolytes without any matt in between the plates. The paste form of the electrolyte prevents gases from escaping by recombining them to reform distilled water that is retained inside the battery.
MAXIMA GEL – Good Choice For Solar
MAXIMA GEL batteries are designed to perform better than AGM in hot climates that are prevalent in tropical countries. This range uses silica gel to saturate the electrolyte, a combination known to have better performance in hot climates. GEL electrolyte also has another very important benefit, that of having better stability in characteristics over the life of the battery. This assures improved life expectancy of the batteries while maintaining all the important features that are offered by AGM batteries like maintenance-free, non-spillable, low internal resistance, leak proof.
MAXIMA DGD- More Than Just A GEL Battery
DGD range of Maxima packs, even more, features to make them smarter and more durable. Integrated Digital read-out in Maxima DGD batteries adds valuable features of knowing the battery charge status, understanding the usage of the batteries, integrating alarm status, and providing a visual representation of Depth of Discharge, a feature that influences the life of the battery. Besides, DGD batteries come with refill cartridges, which when used after 2 years can revive the lost capacity by up to 30%.
